We were in no hurry to leave Prideaux Haven, so we took our time packing up and didn’t leave our anchorage until 1:00 p.m. Our goal was to make it as far south as we reasonably could, mostly dependent on wind and conditions in the Straits of Georgia. The Straits can be really choppy at times, with 2-4 foot swells. Today we had smooth water, so we covered a little over 90 miles and did not drop anchor again until we hit Naniamo at 10:45 p.m. We were too tired to mill around town at such a late hour, so we turned in for the night.
