The past couple of weeks have been all about travel preparation for our upcoming trips. Our Europe trip is mostly planned, however we are leaving soon for Utah and New Mexico and literally haven't had a chance to plan any part of it. Needless to say, we still have much work to make the most of our trip. As far as Europe-prep, we hit REI pretty hard and bought the clothes we needed along with good hiking and city walking shoes. Thanks to Adam, the REI friends and family coupon saved us $165! We have been busy every night between trip planning, exercise, bbqs at friend's places, mobile food truck nights, etc.
Hanna's family sold their place in Los Angeles and found a house they loved in the Auburn area. Timing worked out perfect, selling one place and getting the keys to the new one within 4 days of the old house closing. They were staying with us while shopping for a home and during their 4 day homeless period, and we are happy to have them much closer to us now.
Last weekend I went with the 4Runner group down to Pismo Beach for three days of playing around on the dunes. Mike, Stuart and I caravanned down from Sacramento and met approximately 75 other 4Runner owners at the beach. Many of them are close personal friends, so it was fun to visit and spend time out on the dunes. This is the first time I have had my truck on the dunes with the supercharger, and it added a whole new element of fun. Here's a video on the "sand drags." It's uphill with plenty of whooptie-doos.
Here are a few photos from the trip.

If you haven't been to Pismo Beach, it's a fun place to spend an extended weekend.
